The Czech Television has broadcasted for the first time an unusual musical documentary Four Biblical Dances by Petr Eben. His organ piece inspired by the texts from Bible, depicting the themes of dance, was transformed by a choreographer Petr Tyc into a ballet piece performed in a church. The music was performed by Irena Chribkova and recorded in St. James Basilica in Prague, the scene was taken in St. Giles in Nymburk… Except a tragical third dance, in which Jefta has to sacrifice his own daughter, the music is playful and light. Ms. Chribkova has given a virtuoso performance… No wonder that more scenic performances followed in Germany, Switzerland and several times in the Czech Republic.
